There are many things that a software should offer, and this software offers most of them.
you can also get an instant picture of your camera even when your camera is disconnected. you can take snapshot images, record video, and transfer them to your computer. With a decent wi-fi connection, the software provides you with an instant picture of the camera that has been connected to your network. the ip address of the camera will be displayed on the web interface. the camera can be powered from the lan port of a router or modem/modem router. i did not test the jw0016 with a power injector. to power the camera over wireless, you will need a device such as a power injector. when poe is enabled, the camera will receive power directly from the lan port of the router. the jw0016 supports power over ethernet ( poe ) with an ac power supply. if the ip address is found and the wireless module is connected to the router, the camera will be shown under the «network» tab. The ip address and port of the camera will be displayed on the web interface. the ip address will be 192.168.1.1 by default, but can be changed to 192.2. the ip address of the jw0016 will be displayed on the web interface. the jw0016 does not have a wired ethernet port. the wireless module broadcasts a wireless signal that can be received by a compatible wireless router. note: the jw0016 camera cannot be connected to a pc by a wired ethernet cable. the jw0016 can be used wirelessly with a pc or laptop, but the built-in wireless module can be used with a smartphone or tablet. of course, the larger the wireless router the better. for example, a wireless router such as the tp-link tl-wr841n has a data rate of 433 mbps which should be adequate for the jw0016.
while you can use the jw0016 with any compatible wireless router, it is best if the router is capable of handling the data rate of the wireless signal. the jw0016 does not need an external ac power supply, but the router may need power. the module will broadcast a wireless signal which can be received by a compatible wireless router. to access the camera remotely you will need to use the jw0016’s built-in 2.4 ghz wireless module. With the jw0016, when you press the «info» button to access the web interface on your computer, you will see the ip address and port of the camera.
